About
New Energy was excited to be involved in the construction of a 5.2 MW solar farm on 6.1 hectares of land in the north-east corner of Gisborne Airport. The generation of 7343 MWh of renewable energy per annum is enough to power the equivalent of approximately 1000 typical homes.
New Energy installed the S-Rack fixed tilt system with 7,980 bi-facial solar panels and completed the reticulation for the project. New Energy began construction at the beginning of 2023 and the solar farm was generating electricity in September 2023.
