About
New Energy is working with Infratec and Papa Rererangi i Puketapu Ltd to install a 10MW Solar Farm at New Plymouth Airport.
The 15-hectare farm has been designed to make New Plymouth Airport energy self-sufficient. The fixed tilt solar farm utilises 14,400 PV modules. Groundbreaking occurred in mid 2024 with mechanical construction due to being in September 2024.
