About
New Energy is working with Infratec and Papa Rererangi i Puketapu Ltd to install a 10MW Solar Farm at New Plymouth Airport.
The 15-hectare farm has been designed to make New Plymouth Airport energy self-sufficient. The fixed tilt solar farm utilises 14,400 PV modules. Groundbreaking occurred in mid 2024. New Energy started on site in October and have completed the piling, with more than 3000 piles installed in under 4 weeks.
