New Energy is excited to be involved in the construction of Lodestone Energy’s Clandeboye solar farm, a landmark renewable energy project, located in South Canterbury.
This project marks the first time New Energy is working with Ethical Power New Zealand, which is leading the project as the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) contractor. We’re proud to be supporting them in delivering a world-class solar installation that aligns with our shared commitment to sustainable infrastructure.
The Clandeboye solar farm will be connected to Alpine Energy’s electricity network. Once fully operational, it will contribute ~43 GWh of new clean power to the network annually. This project is part of a broader plan by Lodestone Energy to add significantly more solar-based capacity to the South Island.
New Energy is proud to be supporting local economic growth through job creation in the South Canterbury region.
Construction is expected to begin in June 2025, with energisation scheduled for 2026. For New Energy, this collaboration with Ethical Power is an exciting opportunity to combine global EPC expertise with local delivery strength, contributing to a cleaner, smarter energy future for Aotearoa.
